Description: Hotel Drei Kronen Wien City (Hotel Three Crowns) is a family-run, quiet and charming three-star hotel in the center of Vienna, near the Opera, Ringstrasse and the Museums Quarter. We are an ideal starting point for discovering the old town and the sights of Vienna.
Our 41 rooms have modern furnishing and provide maximum comfort for your stay in Vienna. Features include: non-smoking rooms, work-desk, cable TV, radio, telephone, W-Lan Internet access (free of charge), bathroom with bathtub or shower, toilet, cosmetics products, hairdryer, safe, heating, fan and wake-up service. The rooms have large windows and very high ceilings (up to 4 meters).
The spacious bathrooms and the soft towels allow you to re-charge yourself with energy at the end of the day. From many room, you can enjoy a nice panorama of the Naschmarkt and the Mariahilf. Hotel Drei Kronen - Your Viennese City-Hotel
The history of our building traces back to 1897, when it was designed by Ignaz Drapala, Art-Nouveau architect. The entire hotel was renovated in 2008 in order to provide modern comfort to our guests: spacious rooms, free Internet access, beautiful breakfast room and an Internet corner.
Staying at our hotel means that you will be right be the traditional Naschmarkt of Vienna in the 4th district. This market is a gourmet-paradise, selling culinary specialties from all over the world, surrounded by numerous restaurants, Cafés and bars. Other important sights, like the Hofburg, the Albertina Museum, Mariahilfer Strasse and Kärntner Strasse can be reached on foot in 7-10 minutes from here. Because of our location, we also accommodate many guests from the artistic and musical world, businessmen and visitors of the Vienna Festivals and the European Congress of Radiology.
There is a bus stop a few meters from Hotel Drei Kronen, and the central station of Karlsplatz (subways: U1, U2, U4 - trams: 1, 2, D and 62 - buses: 4a and 59a) can be reached on foot in just 5 minutes. Near the hotel, you can also find the John Harris Fitness Center, which offers modern cardio- and muscle-machines, as well as sauna, steam bath, jacuzzi and massages. The nearby botanical garden of the Belvedere Palace is a paradise for joggers.

If you are coming by car from A1 highway (Salzburg, Germany), drive along Hietzinger Kai and Schönbrunnerstrasse until you get to Hamburger Strasse. Here, take a left turn and continue in the Rechte Wienzeile until you get to the corner of Schleifmuehlgasse on your right.
Coming from A2 (Italy, Klagenfurt and Graz), drive along Triester Strasse until you get to Südtiroler Platz. Continue straight in the middle lane along Reinprechtsdorferstrasse until Schönbrunnerstrasse. Here, take a right turn and drive to Hamburgerstrasse, then take a left turn and go straight in the Rechte Wienzeile until you get to the corner of Schleifmühlgasse on your right.
Coming from A4 (Budapest and Slovakia), drive along Schüttelstrasse and Obere Donaustrasse (along the Danube Channel) until you get to the Asperner Bridge at the Urania. Turn left onto the bridge, drive along the Ring until you get to the Opera, then take a left turn onto the Linke Wienzeile. Continue straight until you get to the Theater an der Wien (Vienna Theater), then take a left turn again into Schleifmuehlgasse.
From Westbahnhof (Western Railway Station), take U6 metro line to Längenfeldgasse, then change to U4 and take it to Karlsplatz. From here, you can walk to Hotel Drei Kronen in 5 minutes in the direction of the Naschmarkt.
From Südbahnhof (Southern Railway Station), take tram D to the Opera, then change to bus 59A (station across from the Opera), and get off at the second stop (Schleifmühlgasse).
From Nordbahnhof (Northern Railway Station), take U1 metro line to Karlplatz, then walk to our hotel in the direction of Naschmarkt (5 minutes).
If you are coming by airplane, you can take the City Airport Train (CAT) to Landstrasse Wien Mitte, then get on U4 subway in the direction of Hütteldorf and get off at Karlsplatz station. The CAT trains depart every 30 minutes between 5:38 a.m. and 11:08 p.m. from the airport, and the journey takes about 20 minutes. Tickets cost 9 EURO/person.
