About Hotel City Central
History of the hotel dates back to 1729, when it functioned under the name of "Weißes Rößl", and it even appeared in the first ever Vienna hotel guide (Wiener Kommerzialschema) seventy years later. The hotel was re-named Central Hotel in 1921.
Start your day with our buffet breakfast: Austrian cheese, ham and sausages, freshly baked Viennese rolls, Lower Austrian honey, marmalade, egg dishes, fruit juices, coffee, tea, etc. We also have a "healthy & light" section with organic fruit juices, low-fat and lactose-free yogurts and milk, low-fat ham, diabetic honey and marmalade. Visit the lobby bar for a light snack or drink in between meals, and to unwind at the end of the day.
Hotel City Central is located a few steps away from Schwedenplatz Square, which is one of the most important traffic junctions in Vienna. It can be accessed by subway from all railway stations, and by shuttle bus from the Vienna Airport. If you wish to take a taxi instead, take a look at the following pages: Vienna Airport Taxi / Vienna Bus/Train Station Taxi.
Take either the S7 train or the City Airport Train (CAT) from the airport to Landstrasse/Wien Mitte and then change to metro line U4 and get off at the first station, Schwedenplatz. Cross the bridge to the other side of the Danube channel (Donaukanal) and walk along Taborstrasse until you see the hotel on your right side. It's a pleasant 2/3 minute walk from the metro station to the hotel.
